Kill the strobe – MIA is in town! This girl knows how to light the fuck out of her stage! I managed to cop a few good shots albeit in full blown glare and red porno lighting. I only stayed for the first three songs and while she seemed almost disengaged (I guess that’s what most call lip syncing) she still managed to put on some killer energy and a cray cray entertaining show. From what I here, there was a lot of biatches bum rushing the stage (I figure this is now a signature move from the singer – detracting attention away from herself but in turn pulling the spot light right back onto how rad she is!). MORE AFTER THE JUMP!Like most of us ladies, I was more interested to see what she was gunna rock and this psuedo safari slash floral number comes up trumps in the wacky stakes! How one can wear this much clothing under such intense lighting is beyond me, but man, she could wear a snuggie and still make it look sexuals. I happened to be front row centre taking snaps so most of these shots were taking with MIA peering directly above me. She’s a tiny lil’ thang, but damn I would not like to get in a bar room brawl with her. I bet this pocket packs a punch! Peep my pics below!

Last night DIE ANTWOORD cained the fuck outta Melbourne with their only sideshow as part of the BDO at Prince Of Wales. Most rocked up to see what the ‘internet rapper celebs’ were all about, but I tell ya what – everyone left wanting more. These guys put 1000% into their live shows – something that cannot be said for the majority of older more established artists. Maybe they still have that undying thirst for success – hopefully it will last and they won’t become a jaded group of has-beens. I can tell you, having watched from side stage and witnessed their behind the scenes shenanigans, these guys are consumate performers and possibly the nicest dudes I’ve ever met. Ninja even bumrushed the show while I was DJng to whisper in my ear ‘yer feckin’ braaaliant!’. A massive compliment if ever there was one. MORE AFTER THE JUMP!Having smashed through a ridiculously energetic one hour show, I found Ninja and Yolanda spread eagle on the dressing room floor, completely knackered and drained of all energy. If you saw them live, you’d know why! One of the most interesting, career turning gigs I’ve ever played, I will NEVER forget this night! Thanks to everyone who threw props my way for my filler sets in between DIE and BANGS. Oh, side note – Bangs is the biggest sweetheart you’ll ever meet. I wish him all the success in the world, and I hope he can throw the middle finger to all the haters like DIE ANTWOORD have done and become a roaring success!
