If you love New Era caps as much as me, you’re in for a treat with their next collabo. Homegrown with a gangsta lean, the headwear giants team up with local legends Saint Side. Fronted by my mack daddy brothers X-Drift and Steve Duck, the fellas were given two colourways to reinterprete, throwing down a sweet ode to the DJ Quik classic ‘Dollar and Sense’. To counteract all the electronica and dance that will be bombarding Melbourne this weekend, CQ are throwing a MASSIVE RNB night at LIV tomoz (aka Friday). But don’t fret, there will be a little bit of house in the building thanks to Mark Pelligrini and Yeah Right DJs. It may be Monday, but that don’t mean the party stops just cos the weekend did! Going on eight gigs strong, tonight’s gig is one I’ve been looking forward to for the last month since I was booked. It’s about time Melbourne got a dope hip hop jamboree for the start of the week. It’s the best way to curb those Monday-itis feelins. And it doesn’t get better than this killer line up. I finally get to DJ with my favourite homie HANS DC (and on his birthday none-the-less) plus long time DJ buddy Mu-Gen and Australia’s number one turntabilist and good mate DEXTER. Yes, you heard right…DEXTER will be christening the night with his rad stylings of insane cuts! This year I had the honour of rocking the NOVA100 Tent at the Tatts Cox Plate Moonee Valley Race Course. It was an incredible day fuelled with all you can eat goods and all you can drank cocktails. Needless to say, things got messy very quickly! On the ones and twos with me were the incredible BAG RAIDERS as well as the awesome Eddie Rinaldo – each of us rocking our own signature blend of party jams and dope bangers. Moonee Valley Racing just released the epic recap video featuring Hughsey and Kate plus a swag of horse race fans, which you can see AFTER THE JUMP.…mad times indeed!

Another killer event I’m stoked to be DJn on is the insane JAGUAR SKILLS show in Melbourne at the awesomely refurbished Laundry Bar. If you haven’t been down to the Johnston St spot since its takeover, this is the night to get down! With a crazy new stage area, dope new bar, loads of couches and killer dancefloor, you can come chill and listen or get your sweat on and dance til you cramp up in a spasm! It’s finally arrived! The new brand spanking YO!MAFIA WEBSITE! A work in process for a long while now, I banded together with my fellow Sneaker Freaker brother Anthony Costa and together we designed an easy to navigate barrel of fun! On here you’ll find all my mixes, party snaps, gig dates (28 in November alone!), a concise bio on everything I’ve been doing the last 7-10 years in the DJ game, links to this blog, my G-Shock Blog, interviews with fellow DJs and musicians such as A-Trak, The Cool Kids, Busy P, Dizzee Rascal and more. This past weekend I was honoured to be asked to spin at the after party for Channel 10′s Program Launch shin dig in Sydney. I guess I really made some peeps get loose at The Logies to be invited back…and after rocking The Offspring Wrap Party a couple of months back, something tells me someone at Ch 10 loves me. And I gotta say, I luuuuuuuuurve me Ch 10. The guys not only have the best programs on TV in my humble opinion (and I seriously don’t watch the tube much anymore), they know how to get dooooooooown! I rocked the party with two of Sydney’s finest female DJs Bambalam and Elly K, and together we all busted out 15 minute sets over the course of three hours. I spotted more than a few familiar faces, and it was dope to have Mrs Sarah Murdoch tower over the crowd to get my attention and say hey. We’d had a quick convo at The Logies and her husband and herself have personally invited me to DJ at their Aids Charity Dinner in October – something to definitely look forward to. I saw the chick that won Masterchef (I’d watched the last episode only, as I was DJn every night it was on). Asher Keddie and I gave props…..it was great to see her again after she personally requested me as their DJ for The Offspring Wrap Party. But enough name dropping – the Moet was on tap as were the immaculate horses doovers! All decked at the incredible Simmer On The Bay, it was definitely a night to remember…check out some more Instagram peeps after the jump….
