A-Trak hit Melbourne this past week after rocking festivals all over the country, declaring that this set was to be an on the fly mix of all the jams he wanted to play. Throwing down two hours of electro, tech and dance fist pump action, I was super stoked to see one of my all time fave DJs return to his roots and smash a smorgasboard of hip hop bangers. It’s hella interesting to see how much his demographic has changed since his first show at The Espy over three years ago (on the back of Kanye’s College Dropout Tour). I’m pretty sure most were only there to hear ‘Barbra Streisand’…not knowing too much else about his stellar career. A true king of the decks!
